Plate Rolling Process

Plate rolling machine (also called round rolling machine) is a kind of machine tool used for continuous point bending of metal sheets. According to its structure can be divided into two-roller plate rolling machine, three-roller plate rolling machine and four-roller plate rolling machine. Today, we mainly introduce the safety operation procedure of the plate rolling machine.

 

1, Before starting

(1) Equipment appearance and fastening parts inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of all parts of the equipment to confirm that there is no abnormal condition. Focus on checking the fastening screws (caps), to ensure that there is no loosening; at the same time, verify the working status of the braking device, which should have normal and reliable braking performance.

 

(2)Transmission and hydraulic system check: For the coiler transmission parts, check whether the lubrication status is good. Hydraulic station, you need to verify the operating conditions of the oil pump to ensure that the work is normal; check the valves and pipelines to eliminate leakage, while confirming that the system pressure meets the specified requirements.

 

(3)Setting of working parameters and load limitation: According to the actual thickness of the plate, adjust the spacing between the rollers accurately. Strictly follow the rated parameters of the equipment operation, strictly prohibit overloading of the coiler, shall not be rolled beyond the mechanical properties of the limited range of workpieces.

 

2, Operation

(1)Startup operation specification: Before starting the equipment, make sure that the workpiece is placed smoothly and the position is accurate. The operation signal should be clear and unified before the operation, and designate a person responsible for the command, in order to ensure the order of the operation process and synergy.

 

(2)Tipping beam operation guidelines: When the workpiece is in the process of rolling up and down the work rollers, it is strictly prohibited to open the tipping beam. Only when the roll pressing operation is completed, the lower roller stops rotating, and the workpiece drops to be out of contact with the upper roller, can the action of opening the tipping beam be executed, and then safely take out the workpiece.

 

(3)System operation status monitoring and adjustment: By listening to the sound of equipment operation, determine whether the working status of each valve is normal; based on the system differential pressure data, reasonable adjustment of the pulse cycle, in order to maintain the stability and efficiency of equipment operation.

 

(4)Safe operation restrictions: During operation, it is strictly prohibited to place hands on the surface of the steel plate that is being rolled and pressed; it is prohibited to use the sample ruler to inspect the workpiece when the equipment is running, and it is necessary to measure and inspect the roundness of the workpiece by using the sample plate only after the equipment stops and is completely stationary.

 

(5)Safety points for special workpiece rolling: When rolling workpieces that are not up to the standard of roundness, an appropriate amount of safety margin should be reserved at the stage of rolling to the end of the steel plate, so as to prevent the workpieces from accidentally falling down and causing injuries to the personnel. When rolling conical workpieces, the small round end of the workpiece should be placed on the inside of the equipment; when rolling narrower cylinders, the workpiece needs to be accurately placed in the middle of the rolls for rolling operations.

 

(6)Equipment operation management and personnel status requirements: Equipment operation should be handled by a person responsible for the operator during the operation to maintain a high degree of concentration, full attention to the operation of the equipment and operating procedures, it is strictly prohibited in the process of operation, such as laughing, joking and other irrelevant and easily distracted from the work of the behavior.

 

(7)Prevent equipment abnormality and personnel involved in the risk: During the operation, it should be ensured that there is no slippage between the steel plate and the upper and lower work rolls. At the same time, the operator's hands are strictly prohibited to be placed on the surface of the steel plate being rolled and pressed, to effectively prevent the risk of hands and clothing being rolled into the rolls, in order to protect personal safety.

 

(8)Special workpiece rolling process specifications: When rolling a larger thickness, diameter of the cylinder, or for the higher strength of the material workpiece for the roll industry, should be used one by one micro-drop moving rollers, and through a number of rolling operations, and gradually realize the molding of the workpiece, in order to ensure the quality of the rolled and the safety of equipment operation.

 

(9) Safety zone management and roller adjustment regulations during equipment operation: After the sheet positioning is completed, and when the machine tool is in the running state, it is strictly prohibited for people to stand and stay in the direction of the inlet and outlet of the equipment. In addition, any adjustment of the rollers must be carried out when the equipment is completely stopped to avoid safety accidents caused by misoperation.

 

3, Maintenance and overhaul

(1)When the equipment operation process monitoring the occurrence of faults, the operator should quickly implement the emergency stop program, followed by a comprehensive inspection based on the equipment troubleshooting process to determine the root cause of the failure. After the completion of daily operations, the equipment and the work area need to be systematically cleaned up, including the removal of debris on the surface of the equipment and the surrounding debris etc., cleanup work is completed, according to the standard operating procedures to turn off the power supply of the equipment, to ensure that the equipment is in a safe state of shutdown.

 

(2)In the equipment shutdown and the operation of the components are completely static, should be rolled in accordance with the established handling procedures, transported to the designated storage area, and in strict accordance with the pre-planned storage and placement order to be placed, so as to facilitate the subsequent management and access.
