CNC Press Brake

We are a professional CNC press brake manufacturer with over 10 years of industry experience. Today, we would like to introduce to you how to maintain your CNC press brake:

Why buy the CNC press brake only used less than two years of time is broken (except for the poor quality of the machine tool)? The problem lies in the way of use and machine maintenance. CNC press brake is an important metal processing equipment, proper care and maintenance can extend the service life of the equipment to ensure its normal operation. The following take a look at the use and maintenance of CNC press brakes in terms of whether you do it right?

1, How to maintain the CNC press brake

Precautions for use:

(1)Before the operation of the CNC press brake, the tools selected must be accurately matched with the control programme to ensure compatibility between the two, in order to ensure the normal and safe operation of the equipment.

(2)After the work is completed, the CNC press brake must be turned off in a timely manner. Shutdown operation is not only a necessary part of the correct use of equipment, but also helps to save energy and extend the service life of the equipment.

Methods of shutting down the CNC press brake:

(1)Conventional operation shutdown method: Run the machine to the middle position of the lower dead centre, i.e. make sure that the slider moves precisely to the centre of the lower dead centre. Subsequently shut down the main motor, followed by the operation switch to 0 state, and finally the main switch is also set to 0 to complete the shutdown process.

(2)Auxiliary tool shutdown method: Prepare two pieces of wood of the same height to be placed on the working table, and set the operation mode selection button to 2. After the CNC press brake is naturally shut down, manually pull down the slider slowly until the slider can touch the wood. After completing this step, set the operation mode selection button to 0 and finally set the main switch to 0to switch off the machine.

Use the emergency stop button:

When the Emergency Stop button is activated, all axes and pumps of the CNC press brake will stop immediately, however, the control system will remain on. To restart the machine, release the Emergency Stop button and then press the green Start button to run the machine. There is no need to reset the upper and lower mould parameters during this process.

2, Maintenance points for CNC press brakes

(1)It is recommended to give priority to the manufacturer of the CNC press brake to overhaul the machine. The manufacturer with its expertise, in-depth knowledge of the equipment and original spare parts resources, can be more accurate and efficient to identify and solve all kinds of potential problems, to protect the machine performance and operational stability.

(2)When carrying out maintenance and overhaul of the CNC press brake, the staff should have a certain amount of experience and carefully read the operating manual of the CNC press brake to be overhauled, as an important basis for carrying out maintenance and overhaul operations, to ensure that the work is carried out in a standardised, safe and effective manner.

(3)Machine operators need to check the machine every day, focusing on whether there is oil leakage phenomenon and whether there is any loosening of machine parts. Daily detailed inspection can detect the initial abnormalities of the equipment in time, effectively prevent the expansion of the fault, to maintain the normal operation of the machine.

(4)Once encountered machine failures that can not be resolved by themselves, it is recommended to immediately contact the manufacturer of the CNC press brake. The manufacturer has a professional after-sales team and technical support, can quickly respond and provide professional solutions to help restore the normal operation of the equipment as soon as possible to reduce the production losses caused by downtime.

3, Maintenance of CNC press brake components

(1)The guide rail should be checked once a week, and add lubricant in time to ensure smooth operation of the guide rail and reduce friction loss.

(2)The rear stopper also needs to be oiled regularly to maintain its normal working condition, to ensure the accuracy and stability of the operation.

(3)Regularly check the tightness of the conveyor belt to ensure the efficiency of the belt drive, to avoid the belt too loose or too tight to affect the operation of the equipment.

(4)Wipe clean the instrument panel to keep the data display clear; at the same time, check the drive part to see if there is any abnormal wear and tear, loosening and so on, to ensure the stable operation of the drive system.

(5)Clean the mould, remove the surface debris and oil; and carefully check whether there is any damage to the mould, so as to find the problem and replace it in time to guarantee the bending quality.

4, Maintenance of the hydraulic system

Note on adding hydraulic oil:

(1)The hydraulic oil should be checked daily. When operating, move the ram to the highest point and observe the hydraulic oil level at this position. If the level is lower than the standard, it is necessary to replenish the hydraulic oil in time to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

(2)You can first add 10% of the oil in the hydraulic oil tank, so that the hydraulic oil to complete a single cycle, so that you can not only calculate the volume of the oil tank, but also calculate the frequency of the cycle of the hydraulic pump.

(3)When the ram arrives at the upper dead centre, add hydraulic oil to the tank so that the oil level reaches the middle of the oil level scale (the oil level scale can be viewed from the back of the tank).

The formula for calculating the cycle time (minutes) is:

Tank Volume (litres)÷Hydraulic Pump Cycle Frequency×5.

High-power oil filter maintenance (small CNC press brakes do not have such a filter, this step can be omitted):

The first cartridge change is required after 200 hours of operation. Thereafter, the cartridge should be changed every six months or after 1,000 hours of operation, or when the yellow indicator light for cartridge change comes on. Replacement should be done with a 10U filter. After changing the cartridge, the CNC press brake should be operated continuously for at least one hour. It should be noted that if the filter cartridge is replaced because the yellow light is on, the CNC press brake should be operated for more than eight hours.
